One Day Printmaking workshop for Kids
Conducted by Saad Ahmed - Visual Artist and Printmaking Instructor at the National College of Arts, Lahore
Technique: Monotype Printmaking - Fun and easy way to make monotype prints without having to run it through a printing press. It is a form of printmaking that creates unique hand-pulled prints. The prints comprises of lines and images that is made only once - no reproductions of the same image - only multiple original prints.
About our Printmaking instructor:
Saad Ahmed is a visual artist and an art educator based in Lahore, Pakistan. He graduated from National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2012 with a distinction in printmaking. He has exhibited widely across Pakistan, and in numerous international shows, and biennials. His work was selected for Trajectories, 19th-21st Century Printmaking Show India and Pakistan, Sharjah Museum U.A.E. Curated by Paula Sengupta and Camilla H. Chaudhary in 2014 and listed among the Pioneering Prints of the show.
Saad Ahmed was also selected as artist-in-residence program n the Guanlan Original Print Base. Shenzhen, China. Besides running his own printmaking studio, he is also teaching in Cowasjee Print Studio at National College of Arts, Lahore .
